Montessori review

Full ABC was by far my favourite app; it showed each capital- and lower-case letter and several corresponding words, pronouncing them clearly (and starting first by giving the starting letter sound). It didnt give any annoying prompts and just had some low-key, soothing music and nature sounds in the background -- nothing youd want to turn off after your child left it running for a couple of minutes! ABC Tracing and Number Tracing, I might be too much of a Montessori purist to fully love, but Miss G enjoyed them and has requested them several times. My issues with the app are that it refers to letters by their names and doesnt seem to have an option to refer to letters by their phonetic sounds -- as they should in Montessori; and, the "star" rewards that children receive after they finish tracing each letter. Of course, there cant really be much sensory feedback on an iPhone screen but there is a tracing "sound" like pencil on paper that gives some sensory feedback, but the sound doesnt change as the finger strays from the letter shape. The number app was my preference of the two. (The benefit of tracing the letter is allowing children to develop muscle memory, so this is a much better app than something that just "flashes" the letters at the children and doesnt encourage the tracing.) I think the apps are a great option for something entertaining but not overstimulating on car trips or during busy appointments.

Great app thanks

Miss Tracie

I think this app is fantastic! It really keeps my son engaged. The graphics are simple and bright. My son loves the little hints and I find they really help. With JK approaching fast, this app is just what we need . Thanks Mom and Daughter for the recommendation!

So much locked away but great potential

I dont like that so much is locked away behind paywalls that are easily accessed by kids. That said, the apps presentations is gorgeous and well polished. I just wish we could know what the other activities were like before having to buy them!

Good app for learning

I like the images and beautiful colors of this app. It makes learning more enjoyable. I think less in-app purchases will have been better, but it is still a good app.

Value for money

Huge range of activities makes this a great app.

Wont open

This app wont open on my iPad keeps crashing

Great app for little ones

My kid joined JK this September and he learned a lot already. Before going to school we tried different apps and educational programs, but he still has some areas which need improvements. For example, he tends to write mirror reflection of some letters like “B” or “R” or numbers like “4” and “2”. He also needed to manage spaces between letters and numbers when writing. Preschool and Kindergarten learning kids games free for toddler app helps kids with different skill level to learn writing letters and numbers. We like that it is interactive, colorful and vivid. Some letters are quite easy to write and other requires concentration, practice and attention. It is great app to encourage your kid to write more and practice writing more often. When my boy practices writing, he has to write a letter/number twice, first following the arrow and dots and second one without ones. Overall, my child attitude to it is more like to a fun game than an educational assignment. That way he is ready to learn more and more.

Great Educational App!

This free kids app is really fun. Its rated for kids 5 and under and Id have to say thats about right. My *almost* 5 and 3-year olds were fighting over this app! Though the 3-year-old got a little frustrated with some of the games, but he kept at it. The music and instructions are really easy to understand and switching from one game to the next is easy and requires little parent involvement. As far as educational apps go, this one is moving to the top of my list.

Absolutely IN love!

This app was very fun and easy to use. My almost 4 year old goes to school full time and now when she comes home she wants to do things that make her brain think. School does start young here for some children, so games such as this one challenges my daughter and makes her HAVE to think about what she has to do. Its easy enough to keep her interested but challenging enough that it makes her work hard to get it. I love everything about it!

Wonderful!

My 5 year old in Kindergarten has a blast with this app! Not only is it fun and educational but it is easy to use and navigate - this is a huge plus for kids! His favourite is the big, bold letters and fun animals in the app! My 3 year old even has a blast with this app and has started to write out his letters too!

Fun For Kids!

I had my 3 year old daughter test this app and she just loves it! She had so much fun tracing the letters and numbers and looked forward to getting a star rating each time she completed writing a character. She was very excited when she got three stars. When she struggled with the letter B she she got only one star, and it encouraged her to try harder the next time so that she could “win”. I am so happy to have found an app that gets her excited about learning to write!

Updated so it’s more stable!

My kids love all the Kids Academy apps. Now that this is updated, it is more stable, so that is great news in our house! My 3 year old is just getting into the iPad and I love letting her learn with this app! Educational & fun!

Looks good, but "free" ??

From what I can see, this app looks like a good learning app. From a toddlers perspective, it looks fun. The images are bright, the sounds striking, and it is interactive. But the "free" is misleading.. Only the first three pages of three workbooks are unlocked. A little bit frustrating that not even one workbook is completely available! That definitely discourages me from buying any. As well, the other options and workbooks available to purchase are easily accessible to little fingers. In conclusion.. it looks like it has potential! But the sampling of the "free" app could include more options, so as to get a better taste of the product..

Great App!

Im always looking for apps that can keep my child entertained while they learn from the activities and tasks. This is a great educational app for my little one to learn especially math. Our little one is a whiz in math now. Im impressed how much he learned.

Captivating

Update-The Preschool and Kindergarten learning kids game helps my child learn fairly easy. The app is brightly colored with animals which captivate my child’s attention. It is easy to understand and learning the alphabets is kid-friendly when the characters represent the letters.

Fun Learning App For Kids

We downloaded this game in November and my 3 year old took to it instantly. She found the star rating system very rewarding when she would trace a letter correctly. When she got less than a perfect rating it encouraged her to try harder on the next one. After playing a few times she asked me to purchase the full version so that she could access all of the games. I am always hesitant as I never know whether she will keep playing a game after I’ve bought it, but this purchase was worth it. Two months later she still loves to play it, and she has learned a lot from it.

Keep them learning!

From mazes and rhyming to tracing letters and numbers, Kid’s Academy Preschool and Kindergarten learning kid’s game for toddler will help your child learn. Your child will enjoy playing with these bright colorful games. The great thing about this app is that you can monitor each child’s progress with an individual profile. You also have the option of turning off the music for distraction free learning. Although verbal instructions are provided, there are enough visual clues to show the child what they need to do. Rewards provide additional motivation to complete the tasks. If your child enjoys learning with this app you then have the option to buy more than 200 interactive worksheets to keep them learning!

Easy and simple for Toddlers to learn

The app is very well designed, but more importantly the app is simple to use and the voice instructions makes it super simple for young children to understand exactly what to do for each task.

Not worth the money

Definately not worth the price for the "All in one Activity Centre" which is simply tracing numbers, letters and shapes over and over. App is kid friendly, though. Not worth the price.
